'Enduring a Horrific Ordeal': Families of Unaccounted For Teens Await News After Alpine Blaze
The loved ones of young people missing after a deadly fire at a venue in a Switzerland's alpine town are confronting an painful wait for answers and appealing for clues about their family members online.
The inferno devastated the a popular bar in the alpine resort, located in the Alps of the Valais region, in the middle of the night of January 1st. Verified images reveal the roof structure being engulfed in flames as beverages with sparklers are raised in celebration.
Emergency services have indicated that it could take days if not weeks to identify the fatalities of the disaster, which resulted in the death of 40 people and wounded another scores more. A spokesperson stated on the latest update that 113 of the injured have been accounted for, with the process continuing to name the remaining few.
In the interim, relatives have been using the internet to plead for any news about their missing relatives who were at the bar that evening.
Desperate Searches for the Missing
The whereabouts of Swiss national Arthur Brodard, sixteen, are currently unknown, according to an public plea from his parent.

Giovanni Tamburi, 16, is likewise among the missing. His mother explained that he had been on holiday but had gone out with a group and ended up at the venue.
